Museo Del Prado

Located on the tranquil banks of the river Manzanares the city of Madrid is not only at the geographical center of Spain but is also at the epicenter of all major activities like administration, economy, business and culture. Founded in the year 1819 the Museo Del Prado is one of the finest repositories of European art, coins, medals and other such important historical remains. The museum is a marvelous delight in respect to its architecture and comprises of the two buildings namely, The Villanueva Building and The Cason del Buen Retiro. from its initial beginning as a royal museum the Museo Del Prado has now transcended to become a national museum of Spain.
