Fronteira Palace
	One of the most beautiful residential palaces, Frontiera Palace, is situated in the northwest of Lisbon in the suburb of Benfica. This Fronteira Palace was built in the year 1640. This palace is famous for its splendidly decorative rooms which boasts of decorative tiles, panels and lovely oil paintings. These tiles , panels and oil paintings are of the 17th and the 18th century.

The Frontiera Palace is also famous for its gardens. These gardens are the main attraction to the tourists. The formal gardens of the palace has been decorated by some of the beautiful tiles. All these tiles depicts some of the best hunting scenes, battle scenes, as well as religious scenes. Other than this, there are various other mythological figures and statues. In some of the garden you will also find half bust statues of the Portuguese kings. The garden also has some of the best fountains in Portugal. The garden in the Frontiera Palace is still privately owned. But various guided tours are conducted for the visitors. This guided tours include the tours of the rooms and the gardens.

There is a Tile museum in the Frontiera Palace and gives you the opportunity to have a look at the various kinds of tileworks popular in Portugal. There is also a Room Of Battles which is also popular as The Sistine Chapel Of Tilework.
Once you visit Portugal, do not forget to visit the Frontiera Palace. Situated in the Benfica, you can reach this palace with the help of taxis. The taxis are the best means of transport. Various guided tours are held every half an hour from 10:30am to 12pm from Monday to Saturday. Sunday the palace remains closed for the public.
